Not everything old is necessarily better. There are many wonderful improvements in technology and medicine that I'm glad to enjoy today.
The good old days are often so due to a selective memory. Solomon said, "Say not thou, what is the cause that the former days were better than these? For thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this."(Ecclesiastes 7:10) There is a real danger of living on past victories and forsaking present ones.
But something old that is worth keeping, is the old, old story that Jesus died for me, so my sins could be forgiven and washed away and so I can know that I have a home in heaven. Praise God!
